So after a failed rattle-can paint job, I'm thinking of getting my old peugeot powder coated and I was wondering if anyone knows any places that they can reccomend near Berkeley. Right now my bike is stripped raw and its getting rusty

That's probably true, though I'm not sure I could actually find a PX10 with nice paint around here. Anyway, its something I'd like to get done so if anyone has some recommendations please help me out.

Try a google search. Maas Tech in Hayward (?) powdercoats frames for Steelman bikes.

Really? The local place here does it for $80, and that doesn't include the sandblasting I need. Would you call foul on that?

Im pretty sure you could sens it the company i worked for(close family friends) and they would sanblast it/powdercoat it any color you wanted(granted you dont want the lugs masked off or something) for less than 80bux.

Where is it? It's a chrome '05 Bianchi Pista and I would like it to be white.

out of curiosity..how did you fail at the rattle-can job?? im thinking about attempting it...

I think it was because I stripped it bare before prime and paint. Its better to leave a layer of the old paint on to give the paint something to stick to. Basically, the primer didnt stick too well to the metal and it would chip off really easily. However, you'll be better off getting advice from someone who did it right instead of me.
