Using Avid SD 2.0's with V-brakes?

I have an old set of Avid SD 2.0's from around '96 or '97. I've used them with cantis, but was wondering if I could use them with V-brakes. Thanks.

FWIW I'm running a set of SD3 levers with V-brakes (Avid SD7s) and all is well with my single-speed.
