Stupid Question

ok well, i was looking at my pike today... and i still dont exactly know what the "external floodgate" knob does. thanks in advance.

Bikes: Intense SS, Old spesh P series, ski/snow bike, fixie conversion

The Floodgate is simply an adjustment for the blow off threshold for the lock out, or the point at which the fork will unlock and become active when in the lock out mode.
