that's why you should consult the sizing chart first

I wish I had seen that chart 2 weeks ago. Although, it wouldn't have made much difference, what with 43 being the largest available.

They do indeed have a huge selection of sizes, but a size 43 Sidi is much smaller than any other size 43 shoe I own.

Bikes: A couple customs and some beaters.

Maybe you should've gotten them from a bike shop so you'd have a reliable return policy rather than attempting to score a deal? (Big assumption here).

i used the chart, and measured the width of my foot and ended up with a perfect fit. however, i take a size 43.5 narrow, and no lbs around me had it in stock. i also ended up scoring them from universal cycles for $164.05 ( $193 - 15% coupon) which is well less than the retail of $229.99

I got my Genius 5's in silver for $160 from my LBS after trying on about 5 pairs of shoes to make sure I got the right one. You just need to be a bit of a jacka** and haggle a little bit.

These are Rampas and they cost $60. I'm not totally destroyed over it; if anything it's a convenient excuse to spend more money on fancier shoes.

Yeah, good call. For some reason I thought you were talking about the G5's.

I think baxtefer meant the Sidi is a smaller numerical size than other shoes of his, rather than the Sidi shoe being small for the particular numerical size.

My experience is neither here nor there. Both my Sidis and my Campers are 42s and both fit perfectly. Never had any other shoes sized that way.

Bikes: Custom Holland Ti road bike, Custom track bike I traded a painting for.

try them on in a shop, if there arent any sales going on you can get them on the cheaps on ebay after you know which size/brand fits best.

i got my sidi dominators for 40 bucks on ebay!

A-fuggin'-men. Twice.

The question is however do you want them to fit perfectly when riding or walking? Personally, I can't seem to get both. Discuss.

i usually tighten up the straps right before i ride. since i'm not rolling my foot forward when i'm pedaliing, i find it best to tighten the shoe to hold my foot stationary against the insole.

i think that's the point of the ratchet and velcro

I have a pair of Genius 4's in a 42 that fit with tons of room and a pair of Dragon's that I ordered in a 42 based on the G4's. They fit, but man, they're tight. When I got my wife a pair of Dominator's in a half size I understood. The heel mold on her's said 39 and then there was a sticker that said "1/2". So, I'm pretty sure that my G4's are really a 42.5. Luckily these fit, but I'm ordering a new pair of Dom's for winter and will get a 42.5. I'd like the agree with the comments about trying a bunch of sizes on, but the shop my wife works for doesn't carry many different sizes, there just isn't a market for them here. EP though, rocks.

Wait... I thought we were only supposed to take pictures of the bikes and put them on the innarwebs.

Needless to say I went with what feels best riding but that also means that my bigger foot is very much in contact with the side of the toebox. So much the fake leather that shouldn't strech has been significantly molded on that area. Dunno. *****en Italy.
