Can someone tell me if this older Rockhopper has 1-1/8 headtube?

I rode my buddy's old steel-frame Hardrock and really dug it so I'm looking for something similiar for a backup bike...I want to make sure I can put a 1-1/8 fork on it though - can you guys tell from the pics what size the headtube is on this older rockhopper?

Yeah, it's a bit of a drive for me so I'm trying to figure out ahead of time...

Bikes: Lots

It's very hard to tell from those photos.

I COULD discern that it was a threaded headset, so if you do determine it's 1-1/8" figure a new headset, and stem along with a new fork.

What year was it popular to weld the two tubes together at the headtube?

I could be wrong, but that looks like a rockhopper I owned many moons ago.
Was 1 1/8th.
Take that with a grain of salt.
