Hello from Whidbey Island, Wa.
Greetings all. I just started riding, mostly for commuting purposes, and I'm starting to get into it. I have been looking at a lot of threads and there seems to be a wealth of knowledge.

Hi, nimravus01, and welcome to BikeForums! Congratulations on starting riding. Commuting is a fantastic way to quickly become obsessed with bikes -- hope we can all help you on your way! I've been to Whidbey Island, and imagine your commute is a very pretty one.

Hi nimravus - welcome. Are you from Whidbey or stationed there? Tons of great riding up there, both road and mountain... but especially mountain. Spent 15 years up there (and may be back), so if you've got any questions, let me know!

Welcome nimravus01. Funny thing, I was just looking through an old photo album with my girl friend last night from when we were out there for a visit. I loved that place and the whole surrounding area. I never got to ride there but I am sure it must be absolutly great.
