My two wheeled passions. They are very similar in color and both models have an interesting history. My Triumph 900 that has been ridden many miles and my new Lemond Alpe that will soon have many miles on it too......Jim

Nice Lemond Jim. Ironically I just had my old hand built steel frame power coated candy blue which looks very similar in color to yours. I'm now in the process of starting to build it up so I like seeing other blue bikes for inspiration

Been commuting since 2001 to downtown Seattle, and in the last 1.5 years have finally made it all year round due to horrible traffic. It's so much more fun to ride than pretty much any other method - other than my motorcycle, which I also do. But my bike is free (sans maintenance of course!). I'm riding a Gary Fischer Kai Tai right now, used to ride a Bridgestone MB3, but wore that one out. I'm now looking into getting a Cyclocross next year. The Gary is not so comfy day in and day out although it handles wet weather well. This looks like a pretty good group of people overall -

Edgewood Washington here, its near the city that non Washingtonians can't pronounce. Puyallup. Edgewood the town of many hills ,steep and lots of rollers, i commute 15 miles to Kent for work on the Interurban on my Surley Cross rain bike. i think i know every rabbit on a personal basis on the trail, and have just about ran over each of them at least once. Got to love bikes when the price of fuel is worth more than gold. I love watching the poor souls stuck on 167 when i ride past them in the morning.

Dang rabbits! What time of the day are you out on the Interurban? I know at least unixpro and I are out there, too. I'm early in the morning (4.30), leaving from SEA and heading over to the East Hill. Unixpro starts in Burien, heads into downtown.

Unfortunatly I don't race anymore...busy life style and all that.

I have an R1000 cadd 8 which is my regular ride and now in the process of rebuilding my old hand built racer from '88. I also have a Giant VT1 when I want to play in the dirt.

That VXRS is a serious build. Get some pics up here and in road cycling. I think the drool factor will be 10/10

You are right, I think it's unlikely we'd be on the Interurban at the same time. Too bad!

However, if you ever see a short redhead out there--could be me .

I usually ride the back roads out to Teanaway and up on Peoh Point. I've done some riding on the John Wayne Trail and may try to ride from North Bend to Tekoa this summer. I've got a Schwinn Sierra GS.

Are you going to do the North Bend to Tekoa in one day (just joking!)?

That sounds like a grand adventure!

I've just started thinking about it in the past week or so--sort of a New Year's resolution. I figure it'll take a week to ten days. With all the snow we have on the ground right now, I'm limited to riding a stationary bike to try to keep in shape and I've got to have something to think about while I'm on that thing.

Oh yeah! I hate stationary bikes. If I can't manage to get out on the bike (and we haven't had enough snow for that), I'll get out and walk just to get out of the house.

A week would be about 40 miles per day, which would be doable, but ten days is probably better if you want to enjoy the ride.

Just moved back to Seattle after nearly a decade in UT, PA, AK and the UK, currently in a temporary place in Shoreline and will start commuting to Greenlake from here. Riding to lose the beer gut, save gas and save the world. And also to just have some quieter, slower mornings.

I'm just starting out - haven't biked in a decade, but some new friends here are also convincing me and the wife to do the STP this summer...hope I'm ready for it!

Normally I live in Salem, possibly moving to McMinville, but for this winter I'm down in Arizona. I'll be back in the great Northwest this spring and living in Salem.

I race a little bit, mostly due to not having enough time in my schedule to do so, and I love just getting out there and riding the road.

I'm in Pullman, Washington (Go Cougs!); daughter of aRoudy1. My husband and I are "amateur" riders, having gotten new Trek 2700s for Christmas '06.

I mostly take advantage of the rails-to-trails networks, though ride to work when I feel brave enough to tackle the Palouse hills!
