Greeting from Maine
Fall is coming and its perfect biking weather. I'm here mostly for advice on converting my new (old) bike to single speed.
They tell me stay off bicycles.. It might have something to do with the stiches in my elbow, or the other time when I cracked a rib, or maybe its my latest adventure when I rode off a bridge and separated my shoulder.
I just can't stay off though, eventually I'll fall on my head where at least I have a helmet.

Welcome to the Forums. There is plenty of information to help you on your project.
The riding up here in the Northeast will be quite beautiful soon. I don't suggest you stay off bicycles just stay upright!!
