Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

aside from the identifying dye, thats a terrible idea.

I seem to have a talent for attracting weirdos and thus have been mugged multiple times, harrased uncountable times, and even almost abducted off the street once.
this, in my opinion, gives me a unique authority on self-defence products.
pepper spray/mace/things of that nature make nothing better.
it gets in your own eyes and is very disorienting for you when you're trying to avoid trouble, be it from a mugger or rampant driver.

I can just see someone in a car getting sprayed with this and losing complete control of their vehicle.

**** that namby pamby **** - they sell battle axes and ninja stars! i'll make my own velcro attachment

that said, my ma used to be a visiting nurse and she had to hit up some bad neighborhoods from time to time. she never sprayed it but the threat saved her ass more than once.

i carry pepper spray in my bag, in the event that a driver gets out of their car. the only time i've ever pulled it out was on some drunk kid who was smacking this girl around. he then started lunging at some guy who had yelled at him to stop. i told him that i was going to burn his eyes out of their sockets. then he took off.

I could have used that tonight. This one road I ride on, when I'm headed home.... Seems like everyone IN their car is a badass. It sure is strange that whenever the pricks that yell at me get caught up to, they have to turn and speed off. **************
