Jerseys Ordering

Hey guys,

I've already started getting PMs about the jerseys, so let's get the ball rolling. I think just ordering #2 this time around and then if there is demand later, ordering #3 and #4 later on should be fair. That way, the definitive one that won (#2) gets ordered first, and for those who REALLY want #3 or #4, it can happen later. Fair?

I think we should get a free jersey for Joe and James, and this should be amortized to the rest of us. So, I see the break down as:

$45 - Jersey cost
$2 - shipping from company (per jersey)
$5 - to cover cost of jersey for Joe and James, per order (depends on # of orders...may be a little higher, may be a little lower) <-- If you can't afford this, let me know...
OPTIONAL $5 - if you need it shipped to your door. $5 for first jersey, $2 for each jersey after that. This is just an approximation...I will let you know if the cost is a bit less and reimburse you.
OPTIONAL $2.50 - if you are going to be paying through paypal

Ideally, we could all meet up for a couple of group rides and the jerseys can be distributed that way. If you can never make a group ride, you should opt for the shipping. If you will be paying through paypal, add the $2.50 for the fees. You can also send check or money order to me.

So, if you are SURE you want a #2 jersey, email me at worker4youth@hotmail.com with the following info.

- Count and size of jersey (https://www.customcyclewear.com/sizechart.htm for sizing)
- Full Zipper, Half Zipper, 3/4 Zipper?
- Club, womens, or race cut?

Email me, and we'll figure out payment info.

EDIT ON 9-13-2006:
Hey guys, I'm gonna send in a tentative order this weekend. I am also going to Australia this Saturday for 2 weeks, so if you haven't confirmed that you want a jersey and told me you have sent a check or sent paypal payment, you will be excluded from this order. This friday is the final deadline for jersey #2! You have to tell me you want a jersey and have sent in a check/paypal by friday! NO EXCEPTIONS!

I will be out of town for 2 weeks, but I will have internet access while I am away. So I will be able to move things along at champ sys as if I were at home.

EDIT ON 9-15-2006:
Hi everyone,

Just a reminder, please let me know by tonight whether you're going to follow through with your order. I will be sending in the deposit tonight! If you want a jersey, just send me an email that says "I still want it...I will send the check or paypal soon."

Those of you that already did, thanks! I received almost everyone's payment that has told me (so far) that they sent it.

I will send you an email next week or the following confirming your order, and mailing address (if you wanted it shipped), before I finalize the order.

The next process will be the final approval of the Jersey design from the proof that Champ Sys sends us. I will forward this to James (Chimivee), and we will finalize it and send it to everyone for reviewing.

Hopefully we can have our jerseys by late October or early November!

Ah geez. Of course I'm smack in the middle of sizes. There's a huge difference between the Med & Lg for women's cut. I don't want it falling off of me and I don't want it too snug either. I guess it will depend on how much stretch is in the fabric.

Help me decide here. Their medium measures a 34 and their large measures 36-38. What happened to 35 darnit - that's what I measure at.

James (chimivee) did you receive the samples yet?

36-38 might be too big for you, if it will fit someone that's 38. I would go for 34 if you're a 35.

But then again, it might shrink after the first wash

Uh oh, don't listen to me...

- Full Zipper, Half Zipper?
- Club, womens, or race cut?

You don't need to send me payment yet. This is just to get an approximate # of orders. Please no PMs! Send me an EMAIL at worker4youth@hotmail.com with the above info! Please email by September 9th.

Thanks for handling this for us!

Is it really a half zipper or 3/4? Their website seems to indicate 3/4...
thanks

Does anyone know how the race cut XL in verge compares to the race cut in this company (I wear an XL verge race cut jersey (a little tight but not bad) - when I loose some weight it will be perfect?

How long do we have to pay? I am hoping to get my first paycheck from my new job in a few weeks (I don't have any credit cards anymore) - 55 should not be a problem (I should make it in tips this week) but I am really strapped for cash right now. (The reason I have no made any group rides - no gas!).

I emailed you...thanks for taking care of this.

I'm debating on size, but leaning toward a large...anyone know how these run in comparison to voler? My large Cool Breeze jersey is fitting nicely now and if they're cut similarly, I'll just go with large.

Hmm, looks like there is 1/2, 3/4 or full.

EDIT: If you said full or 1/2, and really wanted 3/4, just email me the change...

Mandy, I'll put you on the list, just email me your order. I'll chip in $10 for your jersey too along with Phil's offer.

EDIT:
Verge custom sizing: https://www.vergesport.com/sizing.php...e&rolover2=nie
Champ Sys sizing: https://www.customcyclewear.com/sizechart.htm

EDIT2:
Looks like there is someone else (wants to be anon?) who will chip in $10 too, so a total of $30 subsidized for you Mandy.

Help me decide here. Their medium measures a 34 and their large measures 36-38. What happened to 35 darnit - that's what I measure at.

James (chimivee) did you receive the samples yet?
I have not received the samples. Champion was on vacation all last week. Then, they emailed me yesterday and said "You're team already placed an order with us," referring to the generic BF jersey that worker4 youth previously ordered. I emailed them back and told them this is a SEPERATE NEW ORDER. It's understandable why they are confused, but it's frustrating that they have yet to answer a few simple questions of mine from a week ago. I'm glad worker4youth is taking this over.

Anway, as far as the samples: Before they receive a 50% deposit for the order, Champion will only send samples for the buyer to assess the quality, and will not send full size runs. Once the deposit has been placed, we have the option to receive samples in all sizes. Still, I requested samples in all sizes (but doubt I will get it - heck they still don't even understand that there's a new order to be placed).

Anyway, thanks worker4youth for taking this on yet again. CJBruin also offered to help, so you may want to get in touch with him. You seem like you know what you're doing, so I'll gladly let you be the contact. Just tell me when they need artwork. I'm leaving tomorrow out of town, but will return on Sept 11.

Yep. Think of the race cut as more of a "V" shape jersey, so the bottom half will be tighter, and more aero...if that matters to you.

Personally, I find race cuts more comfortable...but others like club cut better.

I really appriciate it everyone, more than you know [HUGS!!!]. I have not had a source of income for the last 4 - 5 weeks and I am living on about 30 dollars right now (at least I still live at home) - riding my bike everywhere. I really hope to see everyone else out soon, and for SAG I really enjoyed it very much and would love to do it again if you ever have another simular ride like apple pie - yummmm....

I guess we are like a family here

Thank You,
Mandy

BTW Race Cut XL will be fine for me (3/4 zip).

Thank You

Any idea of how their sizing runs, compared with Voler? I'll email you my order, once I figure out if I need L or XL jersey. This is for jerseys only, correct? Bibs will follow later? Thanks to Worker4Youth and Chimivee
