My Vitesse D5 arrived with rims so out of true, so I trued them myself on a wheel stand. I immediately realized that some spokes were badly turned and the nipples worn out, before I touched them! So I had to use different sizes of nipple wrenches to grab the unworn part to turn the spoke. I'm not very impressed by the way my bike was assembled when I opened the box. In a few weeks I can learn all the skills to start a Dahon service shop... thanks to all the annoying problems! (Ok, the problem wasn't just rims... brakes were badly misadjusted, and so was the gear shifter cable. Then screws fell off from the seatpost pump and magnetix...)

Same deal with punctures on my VD5 as well. The rim strip is actually a recycled tube cut and glued together. Talk about cutting corners.

I broke several spokes on the rear wheel of my Mariner D7; fortunately Dahon shipped a replacement wheel. From what I've picked up, Dahon's general wheel quality is a bit lacking....
