BMC ProMachine SLC01 - Thank you
Folks!
Finally I got my ProMachine SLC01. It's light and cool as expected. But what's more than expectation are the stiffness and joy. This is very fun bike to ride.
THank you for many comment here. I'm very happy now

Here are my setup
BMC ProMachine SLC01
Shimanoo Dura-Ace groupset
Easton EC90 Handlebar

Hot damn is that thing ever nice. I've always liked the BMCs, but their price doesn't like me.

It's quite expensive, but I think it's cheaper than in the US. I paid around US$4,700 - everything is brand new.

Yeah, I'm thinking a similar setup would run about $5500-6000 here.
Beautiful bike, though--one day I hope to have a similar ride. I'm hoping for very generous family members at the wedding

That is a very, very nice frame, and group. I hate to do this, but I have one question.
Why Cosmic Carbones?
I normally don't criticize builds, because bikes are what people want them to be, so I have no reason for input due to someone elses preference. Regardless of my personal preference, this bit of criticism really does have little to do with my personal taste.
It's a beautiful bike, but Carbones? I only bring this up, because I honestly wish those wheels should be decomissioned and left to history as a good wheel of yestur-year, but no longer should be considered "hi-end" for the price we are told to pay. They are a decent wheel, but way overpriced, and very heavy compared to similar or even less expensive wheels. They are really geared for TT's and Triathlons. They really aren't the best wheel for such a lightweight racing machine. In all honesty, they shouldn't be sold for any more than $200, when compared to wheels of similar weight and quality. I can't believe some of the Pros are still being paid and "made" to ride with those things.
It just seems odd that you would have a $150 120g carbon saddle installed right alongside a set of overpriced 1800g wheels.
Personally, I think your best bet would have been to have them put on a set of 303's, Rolf Vigors, AC-420's or similar. Then, you'd have not only a serious capable climber, but also plenty of aero for the flats. And, you could have knocked off almost a full pound of weight for the same price, and an even higher quality wheel.
Anyway, my rant is over. I suppose if they simply came with the bike, you may consider an upgrade at a later date. Or, if for some reason you really like them, maybe not.
BTW, that frame would look alot better with a Record group.

your comment about the biking looking better with a record group makes me realize how ignorant you are and justifies your lame comment about the wheels.
this guy just gets a brand new, extremely nice bike, and you try putting it down. this bike is probably nicer than 99.9% of the bikes posted here. next time think before you type.

I bought it in Bangkok, THAILAND. We have limited supplies. You can order and it will arrive by 2-4 weeks.
For example, did you purchase it from Probike?
https://www.probike.co.th/contact_us.php
BMC doesn't list a distributor in Thailand, the closest are Singapore and Thailand.

Down boy.. we're all friends here and allowed to speak our minds. I certainly didnt read Patriot's post as dissing but more along the lines of asking a thoughtful, well put question, in a non-offensive manner. And those little smiley faces at the end of a sentence usually means that the poster is joking about something. If I remember correctly he started off by saying:
" That is a very, very nice frame, and group."
Sounds like he was making a compliment, not "putting it down "
After seeng some of the posts of Patriot's beautiful builds, I trust his opinion on some matters, but mostly respect his right to ask a simple question without fear of being attacked.

I'm not a big fan of the BMC road bike, but I respect it. I was at a LBS and they had a bare frame on display. Looking it over it has a nice quality of constructoin, but what was amazing was the wieght of the frame in hand. It felt like the weight of one of the foam pool noddle floatation devices, yet was stiff as all bejezzes.
Thats a nice bike to be sure.

These Steetfire frame-sets sell for about $720 US. I can't afford any super-fancy wheels, so I got some old Cosmic Pros, which are heavy, but 38mm deep!
frame size L weighs 1520g totally bare, including no derailleur hanger
I really like the frame, but it could be stiffer. I swithced the EC70 fork to a super-stiff Columbus Link
