Interesting Commuter on Ebay

That bike is like 5 minutes from my office and I'm looking for a commuter. I'd like something newer but that thing is pretty sweet!

It might be a little small for me. I guess I could go look at it since it's so close, but that would be at my lunch and the auction will be over by then.
Also, is it me or is there a dent on the down tube? Look at the pic of the right side of the bike and tell me if I'm crazy.

It went for $801. I thought about getting it, but I have to run a rack and panniers which would kind of ruin the lines of that bike.
I don't know what it is, but I found that bike to have a very nice look to it as is....which I would then have to ruin by cluttering it up with lights and luggage.
