If anyone else here is riding the Covington (GA) Century tomorrow, I'll be there in my BF 50+ jersey on a black Roubaix. Give me a shout.

I guess no one in Atl is riding or else you're all too busy riding to post.
The news from Decatur is we're selling our house and getting outta dodge. After a few offers and counteroffers we finally came to an agreement with the buyer. If there are no snags we'll be leaving Atl on Nov 14/15. I definitely will not miss the Atl traffic.
In case you're interested, we're headed south on I-75. We'll stop when we're about an hour north of Tampa.
Film at 11:00.

I don't want to double-post, but I've started a separate thread on an effort to complete the three mile gap in the Silver Comet trail which would connect the Beltline to Alabama. Check out my separate post.

Just to stir the thread up a bit...I am moving to Vinings over the next couple of weeks, should be done by the end of Feb. Any of you Atlanta Cycling folks want to show a slow guy around?

Vinings
Needless to say I could get you plugged into the project to extend the Silver Comet trail across the river into the City. Even if you're more inclined to road cycling (as I am) having a direct connection from Cobb to the beltline is a good benefit. What part of Vinings will you be in?

I followed a bunch of the painted routes coming out of the shop that I really enjoyed when I lived off of delk road. I never had a chance to explore them all, but I remember going through a lot of really pretty neighborhoods down that way.

I ride all of these roads and usually head in the SW direction from Vinings. Gets you out of the city a bit.

I anticipate riding out of Atlanta Cycling if they have a slow enough group for me to join up with. I would like the opportunity to learn the area a bit. I noted, while on a ride with them before, that the areas they ride through are terrific to see. Quite a bit of elevation compared to here. I anticipate the first couple of weeks to be pretty rough.

I'm in the NE metro area, up near Lake Lanier. Looking to do some rides around this area, or Athens, or Gwinnett.... or wherever, really. Training to do some touring, and more of a recreational rider than a road biker (read: slow). Would love to find some local jamokels to ride with.

As a former resident of Decatur and former employee of Intown Bicycles I get emails from Mike at the shop all the time. His latest mentioned a new Atlanta bicycling magazine -- Atlanta Velo City. Might be worth a read.
