How Many Bikes Do You Have?
I just did a count and realized we own 13 bikes! Well, 2 of them are tandems, and 1 is my wife's bike, so that leaves only 10 for me. It actually doesn't seem like that many, since we've got them split up with 6 at the house, 6 at the cabin, and 1 at the inlaws' house.

Four. But, wonder if I should have a mountain bike and maybe a beater bike. Can't have enough.

Nine
Bianchi w/ Centaur (double)
Plain-wrap frame with Veloce (triple)
Trek 520 (touring)
Bianchi Volpe (light touring/cross)
Bianchi Pista (fixed)
Fisher mountain bike
Santana tandem
1956 Schwinn Corvette
Breezer Citizen (grocery getter)
I have quite an inventory of parts. Like about 5 cranksets, some chainrings, 5 cassettes, 4 or 5 chains, enough cables and housing for life, 2 spare sets of Centaur shifters. About 20 tires. Saddles, seat posts, stems, handlebars. I do all my own maintenance and whenever I see good prices on parts that I will need someday, I just buy them.
I do enjoy tinkering with the bikes almost as much as riding.

Geez, the next time my neighbors make fun of me, I'm going to let them read this thread.
My wife & I currently have five in the garage...but you know when you have at least two in the same room, they tend to multiply.
2006 Cervelo P2 SL
2004 Trek 1500 (Wife's Roadie)
2003 Specialized Allez Pro
1999 Raleigh Mountain Bike (Wife's but I use it sometimes)
1988 Giant RS500*
About to be given up for adoption. I rode this bike from Rome, Italy through France, Switzerland, Germany, Holland, Belgium, and England in the Summer of 1989. It's been tough to give it up but my LBS (Edge Cycle Sports) has a program that donates bikes to young racers in Mexico...I figure that is better use than the occasional ride to the store. If anyone else has a roadie that they want to donate, let me know...I'll even pick it up if you want.
Anyway, that will make room for the cross-bike I've been thinking about.

I have my Trek 1000 road bike, a Trek MountainTrail 820 "mountain bike", and a Nishiki International fixed-gear conversion. Although I've had to sacrifice some parts off of the Nishiki for another project I'm working on.
My son has a Nishiki Altron NFS, a Trek 1000 (the aforementioned "project"), a GT Powerseries Pro (his BMX racing bike) and an old Diamond Back something or other (his BMX "thrasher", for street use).
There is a Motobecane Nomade and a Bianchi Advantage (hybrid mixte) in my garage as well, both waiting for restoration and an eventual listing on Craigslist or eBay.
Finally, hanging on the garage wall I have a Motobecane Super Mirage mixte frame and fork, an early 80's Free Agent BMX frame and fork (my BMX racing bike from back in the day) and an old Trek Rocket frame and fork (my son's first real bike). I don't know what I'm going to do with these, although I'd love to restore my Free Agent.
So what, that's... nine bikes and three framesets?
Oh, yeah, I've got boxes of parts, too.
