I confess. I've been reading BF for a while, but been too lazy/shy to post. Novice road rider, first group ride is tomorrow

Welcome former lurker. You will love the dynamics of group riding. Stay near the back until you get the feel for riding with a group. Try to hold your line, no sudden accelerations and decelerations. Use hand signals to annouce your intentions. Have fun.

thanks all, and thanks for the advice! the ride was awesome! there were only five of us, so i was in the front for a good bit-- riding with other people is so much more fun
