Recumbent What IS that thing?! Recumbents may be odd looking, but they have many advantages over a "wedgie" bicycle. Discuss the in's and out's recumbent lifestyle in the recumbent forum.

That would be a crank-forward bike, not a recumbent...

It's probably the closest thing to a RANS that isn't a RANS. It does have the frame geometry roughly "right".
The Streetglider has a couple problems however:
-First is that it still uses a regular bicycle saddle, and the saddle is half of what causes so many people riding pain.
-Second is that the bars are not rigid enough to withstand pulling on. To be able to exert a lot of force on the pedals you must be able to pull HARD on the bars, and with this setup (long tall handlebars) they will rotate in the stem (this is the same drawback of the Sun CF bike as well). You see with the RANS bikes, the stems are built strong and they are extra-tall, and the handlebars themselves are fairly-short, so that you can pull on them hard and they won't rotate backwards in the stem clamp.
