Respacing a rear wheel
I have an old flip flop hub on a steel rim which I was planning to use for my conversion. Trouble is, it has one HUGE spacer on the freewheel side, where it had a 5 speed freewheel on. I guess I probably want equal spacing each side (if I'm ever to flip the thing and use the freewheel I plan to fit). I'll get it redished at my LBS, but where the hell do you get spacers from?

The hardware store sells washers that will work. It won't be the prettiest, but it works. Or you can go to the LBS and ask for axle spacers. They might have some.
