Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

can't stop staring

i can't stop staring at this. it will be months before i can save enough for it-and i have never even tried one-but it has my name on it for goodness sake. it will be mine-oh yess-it will be mine.

i also thought i would ask what you guys think of felt bikes in general. i've been reading a lot about them and they seem to be a good company-if you have one; how do you like it? i hope this thread doesn't annoy people. it is a pretty sorry excuse to start a thread-but what can i say-i'm obsessed with this bike. please don't hate me.

Me love Felts. They were a great value for the money several years ago, and they still relatively are. I think they broke into the top 10 for yearly U.S. sales for the first time this year. They have slowly crept up in price over the years.

I have a Felt aluminum crit bike and really like it. It is a rocket ship, super stiff!

Felts are good. The bike in question is pretty hot. Test ride a bunch of bikes before you make any decision. Buying Sora is discouraged on these forums due to a preference for insanely-high-priced groups and shiny or pretty carbon components, but don't forget that there are probably more Sora bikes sold each year than any other component group, and millions of riders absolutely love it. Fit is the most important thing to consider when deciding whether or not to take home a bike. That is all I have to say.

I have a few friends who ride on Felts and everyone of them love there bikes. Lots of bang for the buck. I have a feeling they will get more and more popular in the coming year.

that's the new bike that felt is replacing the F90 with. they decided that their lower price point bike will not have the same geometry as their higher priced bikes, for whatever reason. it actually looks better than the F90 in my humble opinion.

My thoughts as well tekhna. However there are a number of different features, specifically the dropouts and some of the frame tubes are different shapes it appears. The compact rear triangle certainly looks fimilar though!

my sister bought a felt f-90 (a 2006 on closeout) this past year and she absolutely loves it. They've changed the frames a tad this year (hers doesn't look so flyte-ish). But other than adding a set of clipless pedals that I had sitting around, she's riding it stock and couldn't be happier with it. Save the money, make sure it fits you right, and then go ride!

I completely understand... I have an S22 on order that I'm told will be here before the end of November. It will probably be too cold or possibly snowy to ride by then but I can't wait for it just the same.

Edit. I prefer bikes with a horizontal top tube. The compact frame does not leave enouph room for the bottles. Bet it rides nice though. Edit

Geez hiromian... why don't tell us how you really feel.

Regardless of whether you're talking about my bike pic or the OP's bike why don't you challenge yourself to try something new like adding value to a thread. I guess you didn't get a chance to kick your neighbor's dog today.

+1. (edited.)

It's a sweet Felt, I would've said so myself when I was first looking at road bikes.

I rarely react that way but those comments cut me deep.

It's been almost 15 minutes now... I'm over it now.

To TomMc1 and to the OP. Sorry. Way out of line. If that Felt was in my hands I would probably be very happy very with it. It's like I had terets or something and the spew just erupted. Poor taste in my perverse attempt at having fun unfortunately not entirely out of my sometimes poisones character. You guesed it, I did have a bad day. No excuses though. I will edit out my remark now.

I was nice to someone on some other post yesterday so lets call it even like I was never here. Please.

PS Ouch, your add value thing stung a bit. Even?
