Let's get some capital chatter goin on!!

i'm just a new kid. i converted crappy miyata 100 with a nice surly hub and a velocity rim. i could only afford one rim so i'm that kid with the one cool red back rim. i'm working on building a nishiki up to ride in the winter now. i've really got the fever, i eat, sleep and breathe bikes now.

I'm the dink riding the Steamroller with the white Deep Vs and stupid-narrow risers.
In the rain and the snow, I'm on a super-tight old french conversion with full fenders and a multicoloured rattlecan paint job. It's parked outside the Dominion (or at CHEO) often enough so if you see me, come on in and say hi.

It probably was. Red anodized Phils and red grips, with a black fork and the grey '05 paint. It was in there for a week or so getting a new Phil BB.
I should really get some pictures of the bike before the snow hits. That bike doesn't see winter.

Used to ride fixed in Ottawa on a beat to **** Norco Competition conversion (6 years ago or so? Geez, I'm getting old). Now relocated to Toronto.
Tag, I'm out.

There is a guy here I met at CM a few months ago with a chrome Carleton I think. He started a thread about selling one of two awesome wheelsets. I don't remember his screen name though.
Edit: It is "hmai18" and the bike was a Kabuki he got for a song. I haven't seen him since though.
Here's the thread.

That is a sexy bike fo show... I know the guy through facebook, but I have yet to see his ride lurking around carleton.
Also talk to phat moose bout the bareknuckle... They might be getting one in once they start ordering from EAI, although that is pure speculation.

Yeah, I was the one who talked to Kent about ordering through EAI. I was talking about the Bareknuckle, showed him their website and he called them right then about distribution stuff.
I'm trying to decide between the Bareknuckle and a Pista Concept frameset from Full Cycle.

Red Pogliaghi conversion during summer, I love that thing. I don't ride during winter... yet (actually rode today, but this doesn't count, due to the ridiculous amount of non-snow).

Yeah, the non-snow thing is really making me reconsider putting away my Steamroller for the winter. Then I'll ride over a ton of salt and gravel and I'll remember.
Actually, I haven't ridden in a week because of a wicked chest-cold. It's drivin' me nuts to have to cab and bus everywhere.

Rode in this morning for the first time in exactly two weeks. I was up an hour early and totally ready to go. It was strange; I usually have the hardest time getting out of bed. The ride in was a little slow and a little rusty but on the way home I was absolutely flying. It felt so good. I crossed someone on the Vanier Parkway riding what looked like a conversion with orange Deep-Vs and Nitto bullhorns. Sound familiar? If there's someone in my neighbourhood to ride with, I'd love to know'em. Jedi, was it you?

So I'm still waiting on that story Steve.
In other news, I'm going to be working at Full Cycle starting in March, so y'all should stop by and visit. Drop a Bikeforums or NattyFab reference and get a discount*.
*It might be a 0% discount though.

Ahhh ****... sorry man, I got hit by an SUV making a lane change while riding down bronson towards carleton. Thankfully she wasn't goin very fast and I was able to slow down a bit so I was unharmed. Sadly the front wheel and frame didn't make it though :-( Although I'm in on that iro group buy so I should have a sweet ride set up by summer!
I'll definitely be swinging by full cycles though! 0% is better than nothing ;-)

I was actually thinking of getting in on that too, probably for my gf. Operator, how much do you think duties will run?
Steve, is the woman('s insurance) paying for the repairs?
