HANEBRINK bike on E-bay - worth biding??

https://cgi.ebay.com/DAN-HANEBRINK-EX...ayphotohosting

I saw this on E-bay tonight. I remember seeing one in a magazine years ago, but If I remember correctly they cost around $5,000.

Umm, looks like it's been put together by a ten year old. How come it's so expensive?

Maaaan, for $5,000 you could buy all the tools needed and make your own!!
Could probaly do it for $1,000, just not with fancy shmancy tools!

You'd have to own a bunch of disposable income to purchase that thang.

Do you really need an all terrain ice bike? Think that what it was designed for.

It seems that the Surly Pugsley would be a much better bike for the money.....

If you owned it, even if it was free, what would you do with it?

A year or so ago I toyed with the idea of building myself a chopper style bicycle but I couldn't think of one single place where I'd want to ride it.

https://www.hanebrink.net/etb/index.html Hmmm. $3,500 MSRP. Sells them to the Army, which as I recall, also buys hammers and toilet seats for $400 each.

I've seen some silly designs for off road bikes, but that bike may take the cake.......and seriously, what is it that makes it so expensive? On top of the silly design, it appears to be rather POSish in its overall quality from what I can see. The wheels/tires look like something from a '60's/ '70's lawnmower engine mini-bike-
