1980's Bottecchia: worth a restoration?
I talked to a guy selling a Bottecchia bike that is 21 yrs old and basically unridden. It has columbus tubing (not sure what type), what I can identify as a campy 990 rear derailleur and some other campy parts. I have only seen pics and talked with the seller on the phone.
Is this bike worth the time? It is not the fancy chromed, script logo, c-record version but of course I have soft spot for all frames italian and lugged.
take a look:

Any ideas on price?!
thanks!

I have the exact same white Bottecchia. It's an '84 or so with Aelle tubing and Ofmega/Campy parts. I love it and yes if you can get it for around $250...buy it.
I don't know how to post pics....! otherwise I'll show you mine.
