Hello from West Virginia

Hello everyone! My name is Bruce and I am from Charleston, WV. I work for WV DOH in Traffic Engineering. I am primarily a mountain biker but I also do quite a bit of road riding.

I currently only own two bikes. A 2003 Santa Cruz Superlight and a 2001 K2 Mod 4.0 road bike.

I am currently getting in shape for racing, this is going to be my first year racing so I am really excited about it.

Hey LowCel, welcome to the forum. I'm glad to see more folks from the valley on the forum. I ride in the tri-state area on a mountain bike, and now my cyclocross bike on the trails and on the road for commuting. Do you ever make it out this way to ride? cya round.

Thanks, appreciate the warm welcome.

Mike, do you ever ride Kanawha State Forest? That is where I spend most of my free time. I'm trying to get ready for the Black Bear race.

LowCel: Welcome from another K2 rider. My wife rides a K2 Mach 1.0 and I ride a K2 Mach 2.0

Cool Zack, I think K2's are one of the most under rated bikes around. There aren't even any dealers around here, had to get mine on-line.

LowCel. I love Kanawha, but only get to ride there occasionally (every other month, or so). With so much riding close to Huntington, the 1 hour trip isnt' justified. It's a great place though.

Know what ya mean. Main reason I don't get to Huntington is too much good riding around here. Planning on riding Middle Ridge, Teaberry, Mossy, Black Bear, Pine and Pigeon tonight

Tonight eh? If it's not raining this afternoon, maybe I'll try to get out there and try to meet you. Looks like we've got some rain coming in though.

Sorry, mike didn't get your message in time. I am planning on riding there tonight too. If you can make it let me know.

Might be better to e-mail me. Sometimes I get busy at work and don't have time to check forums.

Road riding is great as well. Haven't been on my road bike much lately but the bike club starts meeting again next Wednesday. I'll finally have a reason to leave my mtb at home on occasion.
