Cycling on Public TV tonight!
For all of you Canucks out there the National on Canada's CBC is having a feature on cycling. Albeit it is on doping in cycling but they have interviews with Landis and Andrieu as far as I can tell from the previews. Catch it if you get the chance tonight. Maybe something good will come out of it rather than just senseless bashing of cycling due to dopers.

Well just watched the whole thing. It was pretty terrible. Basically they had Landis condemned before he was on the screen for 30 seconds. There was around a 15 second reference to his attempt to prove innocence but that was in a feature of around 20 minutes. Overall a piece of "sensationalist" journalism that was thorougly dissapointing in all aspects. Made me mad enough to send them a letter. Grrrr.

I watched it too Kris. It was very sensational, but I wouldn't expect much more from Tom Harrington - not exactly known as a hard hitting journalist.
Short version: Flandis is a cheater in denial, Frankie is an admitted cheater, LA must be a cheater, and Dick Pound is the Canadian hero catching all the dirty cheaters in cycling!
You guys can watch it for yourselves - check the link - click "watch the documentary" on the right.

it didn't seem to be like they were out and out condemning anyone... however, no mention of Operation puerto, which i thought would be a big part of the story.

I was looking at this again today and reading some of the feedback. Sounds like an awful lot of people think this was a hack job as well.

This is the CBC..they guys who think that this is a sports authority:
I don't understand the term "public" television, public TV is entirely voluntarily viewer supported, I don't have a choice whether I support the CBC or not.
Tom Harrington: "did you dope during the 2006 TDF?"
Floyd Landis: "no".
Cutting-edge journalism.
I noticed that Floyd and Tyler now have the same end-line for interviews, "...it's complicated".

I wrote CBC an e-mail after seeing the story. Here are the producers remarks...
Dear Mr. Mueller,
I'm sorry you feel this way.
As to Mr. Landis' defence against the doping findings, it has changed a
number of times. As to our unprofessionalism, let me just say that one
of the people on Mr. Landis's
defence team found the story to be, " the most balanced, professional
and well-done piece about the issue that I've seen to date."

They kept cutting off his interview, but you can read the whole thing and watch 6 minutes of it here: https://www.cbc.ca/sports/indepth/landis/landis.html
