Austin Bikers - Need Route Information Help

I will be in Austin for 3 days in February and I am considering take my bike for a ride or two. I will be staying at the Hyatt Lost Pines and I was wondering if anyone knows of any good routes around this Hyatt. Coming from Houston I would love to get in some good climbs. I will be there in the middle of the week (Wed-Fri) and of anyone is available for a ride that would be great too. Just let me know. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Since you're going to be in Bastrop you should absolutely hit Park Road 1 between Bastrop and Buescher state parks. It's part of the "Challenge Route" on the MS150. I rode a double out-and-back on it as a training ride last spring, and it's a blast. Traffic should be low and the hills are like a roller coaster.

That's a great idea. I wasn't sure how far away I would be from the MS route. I am riding th MS this year and this would be great training. Thanks Ironic Mullet !
