Hello from frozen Illinois

Heard about this site from the Team Estrogen site, I wandered over and found the "Living Car Free" forum and was intrigued. Seems like you've all got a nice board here.

Wow Zephyr, that's some video! I'm guessing the way they kept sliding was due to hills? We have none of those here so I'm only guessing.

Some of it's hill, some of it's just stupidity.

Oregon DOT required chains/traction devices yesterday on the Portland Metro highways. Washington DOT did not require, even though they should!

That's a nasty bit of video footage, though.

The Living Car Free folks will be happy to add you to the fold, Queen.

Welcome to BF!

Thanks EH, I've got a ways to go to be "car free" since I have a little truck and a motorcycle...I do like the idea of leaving them parked and gathers cobwebs though.

If it's still snowing, you should just stay home...that vid looked positively scary!

Thanks Audiophile! My folks live near Daytona and you're right...it's flat as a pancake down there, although they do like to call me to complain about how cold it is.
