Pink Sky

I saw something this evening on my ride that I hadn't seen in a while. I rolled out at 6 pm and when I cleared my neighborhood and turned west there on the horizon just below the over cast, a band of pink and orange sky. The sun had not completely set, it won't be long now and no more headlights and blinkies!!!! Not to mention layers, booties, earcovers, tights, wool socks and full finger gloves.

Reminds me of that tune from the 1980's, I think it was by The Fixx, that went

"red skies at night
red skies at night
oh oh oh oh-oh oh-oh-oh"

Yeah, pure poetry...

Oh, sorry, um, yeah, on yesterday's morning commute I was really surprised to discover that I needed my sunglasses for the first time in months. It's getting brighter on both ends. Can't wait for this daylight savings crap to end.
