I just bought a purple Bridgestone frameset locally and realized the rear spacing is 110mm. What are me options on this? I currently have a couple of wheel sets i can run but all are for 120mm. Can they be made to work in 110mm? Is there something i dont know?

I know jack all about this but there was a thread about it. If im not mistaken, most NJS hubs can easily be converted to 110 by taking out spacers. Someone will know for sure. Also, some older hubs are already 110 i guess.
edit: just looked at my Sansin NJS hubs and i notice that there seem to be spacers in there that could be removed. They look to add up to about 10mm. Again, someone will know for sure.

I dont think so. Im not sure totally, ill have to check that out.
Are there other cones you can get that are thinner? 10mm isnt that much space and seems like this could be solved very easily right?

DuraAce NJS come in a 110 flavour

if the spacing is 110, then the slots are probably also 8mm wide.
this means not only do you have to respace your hub to 110, you'll have to file down the axle to get it to fit.

DA's are available in 110, albeit quite rare., Conversion axles are equally as rare.
Phil makes a 110 axle for their hubs.
Honestly the easiest way would be to file down the ends to fit a 10mm axle and spread the frame to 120.

Run a mtb front disc hub and say by to stripped threads and busted lockrings.

63xc has the article on disc fixed how to now what I would recommend since it is probably a 8mm axle as well is to either file and stretch the rear end (pay someone to do this the right way) or just bite the bullet and get phils or da

you can still get Suzue Pro Max in 110. Dura Ace hubs come in 110. Both of those are available on the Japanese market only, so go there or talk to someone who lives there or pay through the teeth to someone on ebay. Phil Wood makes a 110 conversion kit that includes the smaller-axle bolts. older campy sheriff star hubs came in 110, if you can find a pair. all of these have the appropriate axle size available.

i got a pair of 110 hubs from a friend in Japan- they're readily available there- and a pair from ebay. then my SO found the campy hubs for me. you'll find them. look.

I would file an axle before I started filing the frame. Much easier with a grinder. You're not taking off much past the threads, so it doesn't make it that much weaker. Pull the frame out to 120 (not that much), and you're golden.

Disc hub would be good too, it's a japanese racing frame being ridden on the street in the US and it's the most common make at that, anybody who gets worked up over it should probably be getting more sunlight and vitamin C.

only thing is its an 8mm frame and you cando the filing on the ends with a file and be very precise

like I said either get a da or a phil or pay a frame shop to do it the right way
