need some help from MTB brethren...
this is not a solicitation, so please to take it as such. I'm just trying to get some help from fellow mountain bikers...
The deal is, I have two passions in life -- bike riding and filmmaking. Recently I combined both when I entered my 5 minute film, "A Lively Ride", in an upcoming reality show called "On The Lot". The show is being produced by Steven Spielberg & Mark Burnett, and as you might suspect, my movie is about a Mountain Bike.
The more views my film gets, the better my chances of landing a spot on the show. There's no catch and nothing to buy if you watch my film... I'm just reaching out to fellow riders in hopes of getting more views.
-- THE FILM -- "A Lively Ride"
Sure it doesn't rival flicks like "Breaking Away" or even "Roam," but it is fun, full of action, and should be enjoyable for cyclists-- especially if you've ever had a bike stolen. Here's the link:
https://films.thelot.com/films/2316
If you dig the film, feel free to email/share the link with others who might enjoy it. If you really dig my flick and want to rate it, you'll need to sign up on the website (takes a few more minutes and still no catch... but no worries if you don't). On the other hand, if you think my film totally sucks, just shut it off and accept my apologies for wasting your time.
Thanks, and I hope you are entertained for a few minutes! -- ROB K

submit your short to the bicycle film festival. It will get worldwide distribution (New York, LA, Minneapolis, Chicago, London, SF, Sydney, Tokyo, and Milano)

Thanks...
yo -- Thanks for checking out my flick. I took your advice and sent off a DVD of it to that Bicycle Film Fest. It seemed like a really cool fest, and there was no entry fee.
yeah... this post is a "bit" of a solicitation. But check it, I'm not asking you to buy anything... I'm just asking you to enjoy a film for 5 minutes. And I appreciate your time.
So, BIG thanks! May the gods of the trail smile down on you.

I enjoyed it. I registered and voted on the movie.
Here's a tip - put a short description of the movie with a link to the On The Lot web page.

thanks.
very cool of you to watch and rate my film. I really appreciate it.
I didn't put a link to the site itself, because they don't have a search engine and it's almost impossible to find a specific film. That's why I put the direct link to my film. Boom-- saves time and effort.
Again... thanks!

very good advice
So it took me a while to figure this out, and by checking your signature I finally realized what you meant. So I'm posting this reply to see if this will fly.
Thanks for the advice... great idea!

Was the movie supposed to be really choppy like I saw it, or could have it just been my computer?

My apologies if it didn't play well. If you can view other videos on the internet without a problem, I'm gonna go out on a real short limb and say it wasn't your computer.
Thanks for taking the time to view. Really appreciate it.

I think someone in Foo had already found the video and asked if it was anyone from BikeForums that made the movie?

RE: Foo
yeah... apparently they found it someplace else on the internet and posted the link in Foo. I had no idea and was busy posting this thread around the same time.
Very cool how news spreads. Kick ass group of folks in this forum... thanks a bunch!
