morgan caboose trailer bike
I am researching trailer bikes for my 4 yr old boy (45 lb) & 8 yr old girl(52 lb).
Does anyone have any experience with the Caboose?
Double wheel trailer bikes
1) Morgan Caboose - 2 wheels joined by an 18 inch axle, $200 - read a review that says it is a lot more stable and easy on the connector hinge because it is not stressed out trying to balance the trailer bike. (connector hinge is the thingy that connects the kids cycle to the adult cycle)
Single wheel trailer bikes
1) Burley Picollo - great reviews, but difficult to find, costly ($300+) and no longer produced
2) Adams Trail-A-Bike - $130-190, good reviews, easy to get, but 1999-2004 models had a safety recall on the connector hinge.
2) Trek , Shwinn, tug-A-bug etc are in the $100-$200 range and I guess are hit and miss in terms of reliability etc..

Adams' safty recall should have been addressed by the dealer, as all that was needed was to loosen a bolt and seat a half-moon washer. The Tug-A-Bug's hitch is a poorly engineer disaster. I even told a J&B Importer's rep that and told him never to put another one in my fleet again. Is the Morgan caboose approved by the CPSC for sale in the USA?

I do not know if the Morgan Caboose is approved by CPSC. I decided not to go for it since it seems like an online thing only. There were no bicycle shops in our area which carried it. Also, I could not find the Morgan website.
so I bought the Adams trail-a-bike
