Fuji Full Carbon at Performance Bicycle
What's the deal with the Fuji Full carbon on sale at Performance Bike??? This bike looks great, perhaps the geometry looks a little different than my cannondale, but for $1,666 or thereabouts, its a great deal. My cousin just bought a full Carbon Erbayo(SP) full carbon for 2600. Does anyone ride this bike and what are your likes, dislikes.

Do you have a link to it? I'm riding a Fuji Team Issue carbon and I absolutely love it. Okay, love may be a strong term but it is pretty close. The fit is spot on perfect for me and it is extremely fast, as fast as the motor allows it to be anyway. No matter what happens in the races from now on I definitely cannot blame the frame.

You are not allowed to sell Fuji's over the net...Performance sells them in store only.
To the OP, what model are you looking at? It doesn't really matter, Fuji makes a very nice bike and the carbon versions are no different. Fuji have some of the largest margins in the industry and when you hit the end of the season for a model (I am guessing you are looking at an 06) the prices can get really low as shops close them out.

2007 Team Pros for $1699.
I've ridden one, and I like it. My only complaint with carbon is that it's expensive and this pretty much solves that.
Carbon is real.

The Team Pro uses C4 carbon. The Team RC and Team Issue use C7.

I picked up the '06 Team Pro with c4 and campy equiped cause it was too good a deal to pass up. I was worried that it was so cheap, but figured the components alone were worth it. Also I knew 4-5 other guys on Fuji carbons (Professional, Team Pros and Team Issues) in my club and they all rave about the value. Some of them are very strong riders.
The A-class wheels on the '06 were junk, since upgrading to Campy Zondas I'm a very happy camper. I'm a clyde on a 61 and have put about 2500 miles on it since last Sept and think it's a great ride.

I saw a fuji team pro, I think it's like Euro model or something? It has an EU logo on the top tube, near the head and it was on clearance from like $5000 to $1600(I'm not sure). Sounds like a BD deal.

The Fuji stuff seems to discount DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP once it's a year old. I just bought a Team Issue frame off of Ebay for about 1/3rd of what it was new.

Sounds like quite the deal. I am assuming you saw it one of their stores? Is the version you are talking about campy equiipped? I would be willing to make a long drive if I could find a campy equipped carbon bike for a low price such as this.

Well, it's been 18 posts and nobody has said it yet. Fuji's are junk. They will fall apart because even though they are made in the same Tawainese factories as many other brands, Fuji actually pays them to use sub-par materials, hence the reason they just self implode after 4300 miles. Some argue that Ivan Domingez won a ToC stage with a Fuji. The secrect is that it was actually a Motobecane, painted like a Fuji.
Fuji's have no following, nobody rides them, they don't sponsor any good teams(ya know, like Toyota United and the Womens world champ).
There, I think I covered it.

Ride it like you stole it
There are quite a few guys here that ride Fuji's, they seem very popular. I see nearly as many as I see Trek. I have always been impressed with the looks of Fuji's line of composite bikes. If there is heavy discounting as the new model year begins, then by all means take advantage of it.

I have a 2007 Team Issue Pro (It's C7 HM Carbon, the SL-1 is C10 IIRC). I raced on it for a full season. It fit me well and was rock solid. I'm still riding on it.
If you're looking at a used one the place to pay attention to is where the alum BB shell threaded inserts are bonded into the carbon BB shell. There was a batch with a few failures.
Fuji bikes are a good bang for the buck and are as good as any other bike in their price range as long as they fit you. This should be a friggen mantra.
