Suntour freewheel removal

Suntour freewheel removal
I'm attempting to remove the freewheel on my Schwinn Prelude (I believe it's the '89 model as it looks like the one in the '89 catalog) and i"m trying to figure out the tool that I need to pick up. According to the catalog, it's a 7 speed Suntour freewheel, but I'm not sure if I need the 2 or 4 prong Suntour freewheel puller. I apologize, since if I were home, I'd just look at the freewheel, but I'm stopping at the LBS on the way home from work today, and I'd like to see if they have the tool in stock when I go. So basically, does anyone know when Suntour switched over to the 4 prong design?

Not sure, but if you don't get any solid answers before leaving work I would buy both tools with the understanding that you will return the one that doesn't fit (don't open the packaging of course)

You can use the 2-notch puller on a 4-notch freewheel but you won't have the advantage of the extra strength. Be sure to fasten the puller (either one) in place firmly with the qr skewer before you put a lot of torque on it. This is particularly important with the 2-notch tool. As soon as the freewheel breaks loose and turns a little bit, you have to begin to loosen the qr skewer to allow it to back off of the treads.
