You should try doing an endo without your brakes since they arent working anyways. Not trying to be mean, i just thought thats how they were supposed to be done.

You can do a footjam... backhops are trials, you should get hydraulic brakes or something for that, not to mention a trials bike.

Actually backhops (rear pogo) were one of the basic building-block tricks in the early days of freestyle. And you still see Matt Berringer throwing them in a run every now & then. But then, that's Berringer.
Anyways, for the OP: to help you adjust your brakes, we'd need more info. What style of brakes? What Brand? Chrome rims?
And to be brutally honest, I get the feeling you might not be able to fix them yourself even w/ our tips.
Best best - take the bike to your local shop, have them do it & ask if you can watch & ask questions.

1. Sand your rim
2. Clean it off
3. Sand your brake pads or get new ones (Eagles or Kool Stop)
4. Make sure the spring tension is good.
5. Use the search button next time you have a question that has been answered a million times.

You put one foot in the front tire, and balance on the front wheel when the back comes up. It's cooler if you get the rear wheel all the way up to your ass.

It feels better that way too.. maybe not quite that far if the wheel was spinning fast. I'm too much of a ***** to do it on top of a bank or quarter yet.

That would be a nose manual if you're rolling, or a nosepick if you balance on something and come back down off of it, or a nosebonk if you just tap something.

If you just pick up the back and set it down, it's a failed nose manual, the end.
