Hello all. Names kyle, from hattiesburg, ms. I'm looking to start cycling. 6'7" 275 lbs, so finding the right bike is proving hard.

Hello Kyle, you probably want to check out the Clydesdale forum--they have quite a bit of experience with just that problem.

Welcome to BF!

Hi Kyle, I visited Hattiesburg last year and got around on a bike instead of a rental car. It was a very enjoyable experience. Plus as you know you have the Longleaf Trace there, a very fine rail to trail conversion. Check out Moore's Bike Shop which is one of the best bike shops I've ever had the pleasure to deal with.

Yes, moores is great, i was there yesterday, but they did not have anything there that fit me. Which is why i'm thinking about putting together my own ride. The trace is supposed to be very nice. I've yet to ride it, because i dont have a bike ha.

We've got some riders here who'd make you look downright petite. Most bikes with 32+ spoke wheels that aren't built specifically for light weight will handle 275 pounds. Getting the perfect fit, well, that's always a problem no matter what kind of body you have, that's because everyone is different.
