Puch Mistral Flea Market Find
It's red with black handlebars, has the green and white Puch logo on the stem and a decal on the seat tube that says, "Light Steel Tubing." The forks have "Park Avenue" painted on them in jazzy letters. Most of the components are probably not original. The dérailleurs and shifters are Shimano Tourney. It has a 6 speed cassette and triple chain rings. The cantilever brakes have no markings. It is basically a "hybrid" with road style frame, straight bars, and 26" Slickasaurus 1.5 tires. All the components, though not real good quality, are in good condition and required only slight adjustment. I paid $20 for it.
My guess is that it is a mid to late 80's model with the Reynolds 351 steel frame. It's a good quality frame with nice lugs. I am interested in any information you A-D/Puch fans might be able to offer about the probable manufacture, history, etc.
Thanks.

I wouldn't get my hopes up that it's Reynolds 531. It may well be a bit older than what you're thinking too.
For $20 you did pretty good. Clean it up, lube & adjust, and enjoy the ride!
Oh yeah, post up some pics if you can.
