Cycling in SHORTS!
Today was the second day in a row that I've been able to cycle in SHORTS ............ rather than shorts plus tights plus sweatpants.
I felt almost naked out there!!!
The last time I was able to cycle in shorts would have been ..... ummmmm .... probably last September. 7.5 months ago or so.

I would absolutely hate living in Canada. I have been in shorts for almost three months.

Here in Ottawa, Ontario our normal high temps for May should be in the low 20's (68-72F) but for the next week we're gonna experience morning lows of 1C - 4C (33-40F) and highs in the mid-teens. That's definitely not short weather

I've been in shorts for two weeks, but my knees have not been happy with me on a couple of mornings!! It's usually better by the ride home though.

I'll be back into tights again this weekend.
But I have to say, it actually feels weird to have wind brush against your legs!!

I've lived in Texas and North Dakota. I'd choose the latter. It's easy enough to layer up for a cold ride but it's impossible to cool yourself when it's 113 degrees with 95% humidity.

The last two days I've been able to cycle in shorts ..... with a SHORT-SLEEVED JERSEY!!! No jackets, no headbands, no full-fingered gloves ... just shorts and a jersey!! WooHoo!!
It feels really odd to have the wind blowing against my arms and legs as I ride ... and I feel vaguely unprotected.

Kinda like skinny-dipping feels, I'd guess?

I only cycle with long tights from Nov-March and in that period in the early mornings only.
Otherwise I cycle year round in shorts.

The Great White North. Even Michigan has been out of the deep freeze for awhile (crossing my fingers).

Shorts weather arrived here in Ottawa a week or two ago. Now, if we could just get away from these severe thunderstorm advisories.

Now tomorrow, the temperature is supposed to reach 29C!!!! I know how to dress for 29F, but 29C is HOT!!! I don't know what to wear!! I'm guessing that my usual 2-3 layers on the bottom, and 5-6 layers on top is going to be a bit overkill.

I get confused about what to wear when the temperature first changes a lot going in either direction. It was 91 F here today. I didn't check the weather this morning and was way over dressed.
When is bike forums going to get an automatic temperature converter program? When I type in degrees F. it comes out degrees C for you and the other way around.
How is your shoulder now?

It has been extremely warm here for the last three weeks. I had to break out my summer riding gear early.

It's 33 celcius and 90% relative humidity here today... I envy you your cold weather. And yeah, I did a winter in Ontario not so long ago, so I'm not just saying this

Shortcut is going on my desktop right now.
It beats looking at the old round thermometer outside that has both and seeing where the numbers line
up. I have to get up to see it.

It was 83° here when I got back from my ride today. Shorts, sleeveless Under Armour shirt, mesh vest, sunscreen. Nice.
