Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I went with the Jamis Ventura Elite. It's all new and pretty and tomorrow it is supposed to rain all day.

You are going with the Time ATAC's right? That's what I ride on all my bikes except for the track specific one which last week got Sprint Keo's.

just googled it. good looking specs, especially for the price. i want one but the track bikes make a more suitable stand-in for a road bike than they do a mountain bike (and the mountain bike's cheaper) so it'll wait. but yeah, going with the atac's for the commuter, the spicer, and the mountain bike. may or may not put something different on the road bike.

Bikes: iro mark v for street, sh itamori peloton for track

ok, so this would have gotten its own thread, but

CHRIS MCDUDE IS SUAVE AS ****

i was standing outside of foodswings tonight when mcdade rides up the street. without breaking the expression on his face or even saying anything, he throws five fingers up in the air and rides at me.

after a way solid and reverberant high five, he continues riding off down the street like it never even happened.

moral being: chris pulled some smooth **** today and daaaaaammmmn i was crazy impressed. i'm on hour five of a hard on at this point.
