Hello
My name is Kevin and I'm new to BikeForums.net -- I'm actually new to cycling but I'm learning a lot and am prepping to hopefully do my first tri this fall.
I started MapMyRun.com about 2 1/2 years ago and back in February I started MapMyRide.com for cyclists -- you can plot your cycling routes on maps, view elevation profiles, build cue-sheets, and do some cool auto-routing stuff.
It's been a crazy ride (no pun intended as our cycling community has grown and has helped me develop the site into what is it today -- As I'm exploring this site I invite you to take a look at mine. I'm trying to make the site for cyclists by cyclists so I welcome all suggestions, feedback, criticisms, etc!
Cheers,
-

Kevin, welcome to the forums! I got your email, we're just drawing straws to see who will contact you, as we're in a bit of transition here.

I love mapmyride, simply awesome functionality with the snapping to roads (though it sometimes snaps a circituous route to the point clicked requiring lots of undos and careful plotting) and the distance calculations. Very very nice.
I am new to cycling. I was impressed to see that it calculated my 14.2 mile ride in 50 minutes as buring 783 calories. Sweet, I can eat even more now!

It would be sweet if we could generate a cue sheet from the route we mapped.
