The only people who complain about reflectors are the fashion princesses.
Reflectors do not replace lights, but in bad light conditions and at night, can be the difference between being seen and not being seen. Your choice.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

I have reflectors, and still have the wheel reflectors on my bike and trailer! I want to be seen! I also use lights as well and even have a light on my helmet, as Freddish as that is!

OOOOHHHHH I HATE REFLECTORS! Only cause they are noisey and I hate a noisy bike. When I ride at night, I use those ankle straps with the 3 colors. With the motion of the the pedals, can't miss those suckers!

I think of lights on helmets as more Martian than Freddish.

But it's awful handy and can double as a tent lamp!

I ride during the dark of the morning: reflectors, reflective tape, reflective ankle strap and lights.

I have my rear wheel reflector. The front one broke off on the truing stand when my wheel was getting fixed. I don't really care about them one way or the other.
