Is this bike worth it??

Hi, I was just wondering if you could tell me if this bike is worth me paying $190.00 for:

16.5"/42cm. Trek Alpha-Custom Aluminum 4300. 28 speed Shimano Acera/Altus drive train; V-brakes. Originally equipped with knobby mountain bike tires, which are like new and included. Shown eqiupped with 26"x1.25" Fat Boy road tires, which transforms this mountain bike into a nice road machine. Both sets of tires are included.
Frame measures 16.5" from center of crank to top of seat tube. Stand-over height is approx. 28". I'm an avid cyclist and I bought this bike new about 3 seasons ago for my son to ride with me, who quickly grew out of it. The bike is in excellent condition. Please contact me for more information.

I will pack carefully in a bike box and ship to you in the United States via UPS ground for actual shipping costs plus insurance, which I would expect to be around $35.

I like it, but I don't know a lot about the value of bikes, and was hoping you guys could point me in the right direction. Thanks

Three year old low end bike for $190? Pass. I could sell you a brand new one just like it for about $250 or so.

Bikes: Too many bikes, too little time to ride

it's probably not worth that much considering it wasn't that expensive when new, but then again, with bikes this sort of thing happens. the depreciation of used bikes for the lower end doesn't seem to drop that much, compared to the depreciation value of a used high end bike. maybe you'll find a better deal if you look locally because $35 shipping on a bike that's worth $100 doesn't seem worth it to me.
