Motorcyclist carrying a roadbike.
I was driving my semi up northbound 5 past Portland, OR yesterday.
In the southbound lane, I noticed a 650 dualsport moving right along.
Didn't really think twice until I noticed a high-end road bike parallel to his motorcycle and suspended.
I assumed you let the wheels roll along, but the wheels of the dudes roadbike weren't even touching the freeway!
I too hold an M1(Calif.)endorsement, and wondered if this was something that was sold, or is it a homebuild?

There used to be a guy who made bike racks for the KLR650 but he quit doing it - https://hometown.aol.com/mschue5938/mschuette.html
Most of the ones I've seen have been custom since there isn't a very large market for them. One picture I came across once was a BMW GS with full luggage and TWO bikes on the back. He was racing at Sea Otter I think.

It's a basic 2x4 T attached to the rear grab rail with a hook that can be tightened from above. The outriggers are attached to the passenger peg frames with rope that has clothes line tighteners inline. Just hook it to the frame and twist to tighten. At the top center of the T I put an old front axle through the 2x4 to attach the fork with a standard quick release. I picked up an old damaged fork from a bike shop to use to hold the front wheel. Pretty simple and it worked great. It was very stable with the tree point attachment and it could be attached and removed in less than 5 minutes.

When I read the title, I thought it was going to be ME!
I got a ticket (for unsafe load) because I had the bike over my shoulder!
I then switched to using my rock climbing pack, with the bike strapped to that.
Much "safer"!

I know I have seen others on there, specifically on a Suzuki V-strom (like mine
