sad truth about entry level forks is that the adjustment knob usually dosent do much at all. maybe just alittle, but its hardly noticable.

Take the spring out from under the metalic cap. Remove plastic caps and put one end in a vise and run a pair of visegrips through the end of a ratcheting tie down strap. Stretch the spring to 11.5 in. heat it with a propane touch till it stretches to 12.5 in. let it air cool then reinstall plastic caps and saw off the long cap to make up the difference from the stretching and reinstall put threaded cap back on and oil the shock boots. Drastically improves ride. Be very careful and take all precautions because the spring is no punk. It took an hour or so from start to finish. It is not adjustable but it wasn't before either. It is chinese made junk that was corrected by an AMERICAN !!!!!!!!!!!!!
