What was Thor meant to do then?, think 'oh I ride for a French team, I'd better not sprint too hard and win the stage, that'll teach those Frenchies a lesson they won't forget'

It doesn't take any effort for French riders to do poorly in the Tour de France. The French riders have been skillfully losing the Tour year after year for about two decades.

After watching Moreau get absolutely no help today it does make you wonder.

Yup, nobody wanted to (or perhaps could?) help Moreau today. The most interesting part of today's stage was Contador getting a puncture on the final climb, and still almost getting back to his group! He could be the man this wide-open year.
