Yes, that is a 1982, model 912 frame. In my opinion, the price is way too high, but then I'm not familiar with the California market conditions for fixies.

They should be paying YOU to take it with that wheel/bar/color combo on it!

Thanks for the info folks. Yes, the price seemed pretty steep to me too. I was thinking of
making a lower offer. Any thoughts on what its worth? I know the fixed gear market is probably
a bit inflated here in Los Angeles, much like the housing market and everything else.
Again, Thanks for your help.

Well it is a road bike conversion with shifter bosses, derailleur hanger and cable guides. It does not have a particullary "clean" look which is very much appreciated inthe FG/SS community. The weinnman wheels are an inexpensive ebay/after market (machine made) wheel set. Not bad, not great. Crank w/ aftermarket chainring is not particullary attracitve IMHO. I would low ball him. You can always go up in price up if you want it.

Seems like a project done by someone who was new to the "scene" and now is looking for another "newcomer" to unload it on. It is a sweet ROAD frame. Buy it and put derailleurs and a road double on it. You and the world will be glad you did.
