I got told I was "HOT" today! ;)

Took a 65 miler this morning and coming back, I got a great comment! Too bad I'm a middle aged married fart! At a light on US52, I'd had to do a little traffic dance and get across traffic. At the light where I was getting off 52, a gal around 19 or 20 rolled her window down and told me that I was 'hot" in Lycra and she liked! I must admit, it felt good!

Awesome! Can't wait to see that day myself. The first time I tried on my bibs my wife saw me (without a shirt, just bibs) and broke into a full bodied laugh.
... it wasn't the response I was looking for, really ... but to be expected. I DID look funny.

Of course you know the young chicks will do that to us old geezers because they figure it is safe to do it to us...

Still feels good though. You sure she wasn't saying you were sweating...

I LOVE IT when they yell things like that!

I started cycling about 18 years ago - after 3 years I had dropped to 195 lbs and I was weight lifting 3 times a week. I used to get teenage girls yelling things like that at me. While sexist comments might be bad for some I sure as heck liked em

+1

I caught a girl staring at me yesterday as the car she was in passed me... so I kicked it into high gear and caught up to them at the next light. Passed them on her side of the car, doing about 30 MPH - I figured if she wanted to look, I'd give her a better view.

A couple days ago I was smiled at by a mom about my age, biking with 3 or 4 of her children. Not quite as impressive but still felt good in a weird, adulterous sort of way.

This Reminds Me...

I have been riding to work 3+ times a week. (Did 11 there and 4 home yesterday and I am very pumped.)

Anyway, my wife keeps making comments like you don't wear _THOSE_ into work do you? (referring to my bike shorts)
She thinks they are too revealing, but hey, if they look, it's their retinas that get scarred, not mine!

Congrats Tom!
