Abici Time Machine

Hello all,
This is my first post in the forum, I've been mostly lurking.
Anyway, there is a person selling an Abici Time Machine locally for $1150, full dura ace, everything in very good condition. I was wondering if you guys have any inputs on it? So far from all my research it seems like a good deal.
This is my first TT bike, is the Abici a good starting choice or should I go with something else? Also does anybody have the official site for Abici? Abicibikes.com isn't working. Thank you much

David

Bikes: 08 Felt F4, 05 Fuji Team SL, 08 Planet X Stealth, 10 Kona Jake the Snake, 03 Giant OCR flat bar.

They're good bikes and that would be a good price if it's in decent condition.

Unfortunately the owner got fed up and closed shop. He was losing money to more notable brands due to some slower than wanted lead times. Then to top it off, he was hit by a car while riding, which I'm told put the nail in the coffin so to speak. Nice bikes, but not so great customer service towards the end turned some people away.

If it fits buy it, but know that if something is wrong with the frame down the line, you may be SOL.

thank you for the info. When it comes down to picking between these bikes, which one would you choose?

Abici Time Machine https://www.roadbikereview.com/cat/la...7_5668crx.aspx
Motobecane Nemesis

Quintana Roo Tequilo

granted the abici cost the most money when new, is it necessarily better? Also since the company is no longer here, do you think the risk is worth it to buy one or should I choose something else?

Beside those 3 are there anything else you guys might suggest?
Budget is around $1500 for new or used off craigslist. I'd prefer to buy a slightly used bike

Thank you

I guess I don't know why you want a slightly used bike. However, I think there is a lot to be said about a warranty, getting fit by someone who knows what they're doing and having the support of a LBS. Why not a Felt S32? For $1300 you could get your bike and have $200 left over to make it yours(change saddle, get pedals, maybe get a different handlebar or something). The Felt is just as "fast" as any of the bikes you listed above and has probably equivalent if not better components.

If you want to see a Felt S 32 done right, check out ODL's bike... https://bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=207720&page=5

Just started looking in the last week and have seen an excellent shape 05 S22 go for $800, an 06 P2SL gor for $1,200 on ebay, both were DA and looked in great condition. There's an 06 Kilo with a Buy it Now price of $850. By going for a slightly used bike you can get a lot more for your money.

That said, if I can find one of the new S32s I'll probably go for it, who wants something someone else has had their @$$ on?
