anyone going?

i'm doing it with a few friends .. were just gonna do the 50.

Just found out about this ride. Is a huge hassle to get to from Manhattan? Looks like it's an extra ferry ride, but not sure if that equates to hours of stress and frustration. Anyone ridden this before?

The ferry ride is supposed to be very enjoyable, but I'm planning to drive there.

yeah the ferry is really nice way to relax before and after your ride. Its comfy and they serve light food/drinks/cofee/tea. But the ride itself is really nice, smooth clean roads and well marked, good food/snacks/drinks at the rest stops. Last year was my first time doing this ride and im doing it again this year hopefully.
