Acomplishment of a goal

So today I broke the 400 mile mark for the month, this is the first time that I have accomplished this. I had set getting 400 miles in one month as a goal at the first of the year, now I only have two goals that remain to accomplish 1. ride the Moab Century in October. 2. Make 3000 miles for the year.

I think I'm well on the way to accomplish the last two of my goals this year .

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Whoa, sweet! That's MUCH more than I'm at for the month, or any month. And the end of year goal is pretty righteous as well.

Is the Moab century the one along the river or the one through Arches? Either one would be great to do but the Arches one is definately harder.

Good job on the miles!

the moab century returns along the river but climbs up in the Lasal Mountains, over a 5 mile stretch you climb approx. 3000 feet. So it's not all flat and easy .

400 for a month is awesome! And your other 2 goals should fall too!

I am just about ready to turn over 400 on my HardRock...total. That is in 12 weeks. Well, 9 weeks if I take away the 3 weeks I was on a business trip. If things keep going as they are, though, I might just get my first 100 mile week pretty soon. That is a big goal for me.

you should stop in and see the race, my daughter will be doing the race I will be on support. but I will have the mountain bike and hope to get in a couple of rides.

Also that's fall break weekend for all the schools so I'm not surprised it was hard to find a room.

I'll be re-tracing the outlaw trail by jeep - so not really in Moab. Will be base camped in Green River.

3000 feet in five miles is some serious climbing. Enjoy! Congratulations on the miles. I'm on track to make 3K this year too, and it's been a lot of fun so far.
