Mr Smashy, not trying to hijack your post just wondering what you think about those "high rise?" bars? I have a problem with my hands getting numb, I use padded gloves but it helps only a little, I think Im hunched over the bars to much and put to much pressure on my hands, do you think a set of these bars would help by straightening up my back some thereby releiving some pressure on my hands? also, you think a shorter seat post might help too? please have a look at the pics and note that the seat post can go no lower as the bottom will hit the rear shock, and I cant take the stem up any as there is no more fork tube. Thanks much, if this realy bothers you please let me know ASAP and I will remove my post =)

Nice combo Smashy! I feel that the oversize clamp makes my bike much lighter and faster. Actually it's just freakin' cool looking.

+1 on the HiRise and shorter stem.
I've been running an Easton EA70 HiRise bar for a while now and switched to a 90mm Thomson stem just this year. I love the combination for trail riding.
