Alkek Track Time

Used to be a regular at Dorais and Indy back in the day. Havn't been on the Track in years. Recently had to dust off my bike for a move to SA. Was thinking about a trip to Houston just to take a few laps, is there any open track time? Not sure if I want back in the whole race scene again but would like to take a few laps.

Yea, I checked that out a while ago. Open has different meanings at different tracks. Looking for some pretty informal time, do you ride there?

I have ridden out there three times. They are having open sessions Tuesday and Thursday from 6-8PM. Weather permitting of course. The Houston rain is new to me as well.

You can bring your ride or rent one during the open/free ride times. I've ridden a couple times and been to a few race nights. Show up during the designated times, and ride until you're content.

Actually haven't been out there yet (relatively new to Houston). Something I'd love to do more of when the road season slows down. I'm still trying to put back together my track bike and need some parts before I get there. (speaking of, anyone have some track wheels, bars, cranks lying around that they want to sell?)

Thats what I was looking for. Have one of my old Bikes together, just finishing up a set of track-worthy wheels. Not really looking for anything organized, just tool around a bit, maby a little paceline...
